Rmred Love Story: Jamie & JJ

Can I just say this couple, they make every photo look professional and just magical. Why can I not have this ability? Since the moment we met this couple, we loved their dynamic and fun-loving personalities. You can see the passion they share for fitness, life, and love in the first convo when you chat with them. Jamie will kill me for saying it but JJ made me laugh so much and his ability to make her dreams come true is just amazing. He just knows. We arrive at the Rehearsal and he says I bet they forgot my shoes, side not standing in his Nike Flip Flops, with a gorgeous outfit on. He calls her, they forgot and his response, no big deal. These moments make my heart happy. You know they will have a successful marriage! They put it in perspective. I love that about these two. They have planned a wedding that is just filled with their personality, fun, and adventure.

We met at Broad Run High School. We had a few friends in common and knew of each other but if you were to tell us back then that we would be getting married now, we'd FOR SURE say you're crazy! Fast forward a few years post college, we started randomly seeing each other out at events due to our circle of friends being similar. Halloween 2013 or 2014 (it's all a blurr at this point) is pretty much where the attraction all started, we won't go into details but drinks were flowing and so was the flirtation. BUT apparently JJ did not get the hint that Jamie liked him...boys are stupid! So let's break that down for a sec, Jamie flirts with JJ and JJ flirts back circa 2013/2014 and they don't start dating until 2016? WOW! Anyways let's keep on with the story. From 2013 to 2016 we flirted every time we saw each other. Even friends were telling JJ that Jamie liked him but he didn't believe them...again...boys are stupid. So that brings us to New Years Eve (good bye 2015 and yet another year that JJ was blind to Jamie's flirtation), we shared a New Year's kiss...Awwww so cute, right?...No, it was NOT romantic but we laugh about it now, don't ask why though! About a week or two after New Year's and many cute text/phone conversations later JJ manned up and politely asked Jamie to be his girlfriend! FINALLY! Took you long enough! Look at us now :) I hope you enjoyed a little peek into our love story. Thanks for reading! We look forward to sharing our special day with you!

Until next time,

From the moment I met Nikki, I knew she had a planners instincts and abilities. Her eye for organization and details was a joy to work with. She was always anticipating situations and running her ideas by us. We LOVE collaborating with a bride who knows what she wants. From personalized napkins to her color scheme, everything seamlessly went together and looked gorgeous.

Could this wedding party look any more elegant? The grey, purple, and greens really pop in the outdoor heaven that we like to call Market at Grelen. The ladies were all beautified by the talented team at Best Face Forward. They know how to take each person's beauty and make it shine with confidence! As soon as Nikki arrived to the venue, I could tell she was so excited to step into her hands down spectacular dress from Klenfield & Pnina Tornai. I'm thankful I am not as tiny as Nikki - I would have wanted to try it on :) Just Kidding! The lace fits her personality so well and just exudes the classiness that Nikki embodies. She is a beautiful bride.

This wedding party and guest group was so much fun! The band from EBE Entertainment had everyone on the dance floor and having a grand olde time all night long.

About 45 minutes before the ceremony was about to begin on this sunny and warm day, a storm front started to move in. Always prepared with rain plan 1, 2, & 3, we made the decision to be ready with the rain plan for cocktail hour. It is a good thing that we did. As soon as the ceremony ended, the rain showers came. We got through an intimate ceremony with Nikki's brother as the officiant. He did a fabulous job preparing a ceremony that shared both laughs and sentiments about this, that have been together since their High School Prom. Read their love story here.

Some of my favorite wedding photos are the "We Did It" right after the Ceremony is completed. All the hard work and love you share has brought you to that moment of FINALLY being married. Not to mention the special Daddy/Daughter Moments. Now that I have a daughter those special moments melt my heart even more. Nothing more special than the love of a parent captured in a photo.

Could you even tell it is about to rain? Thanks to the talent Sarah Houston - you cannot tell at all! We battled the rain throughout the reception but it did not stop the celebration one bit! The love these two feel for each other was truly contagious, all of the guests were cherishing each moment of this important day in Nikki & Bryce's life. We even got a rainbow picture!

Look at these elegant details, as I mentioned this bride was able to tie everything together so you could see her color scheme and vision. The flowers from Faded Poppy and Stationary by Kali Edwards of June Mango Designs are just timeless.

Look at this fabulous meat spread from L'Etoile Catering Team! They did an incredible job on the Hors d'oeuvre style dinner. Everything was bite size yet filling. I love when not only is it tasteful, it looks appetizing in the set up.

Nikki made sure all of her family members that couldn't physical be present were still apart of their big day. Gorgeous photos of family members lined the farm table to provide a stunning tribute to their memory.

It is always hard to say goodbye to couples so we don't! Instead we say farewell, because it means good wishes! We could not wish this couple more happiness and love. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for this amazing couple.

The Rmred Love Story of Ruth & Ebenezer...

Liberian Love Story

Ruth started a new job in August 2016 and decided to start dating again. You know, "New job, New love". Not even a week after Ruth started her job, she received a text from an unknown number. It was Ebenezer Williams.

You see, one of Ruth's aunts had given Ruth's number to Ebenezer, in May of 2016, while he was visiting from North Carolina. Ruth's aunt is a firm believer of Liberians knowing other Liberians. Well, these two Liberians got to know each other as well as you can know a person over phone calls and texts.

After a month of calls and texts, Ebenezer and Ruth went on their first date. This was their first time seeing each other. Ruth remembers seeing Ebenezer walk towards her in his chill and swagger fashion. Ebenezer remembers seeing Ruth with her afro puff and energetic vibe. They liked what they saw. However, it was the four hour conversation about their dreams, goals and values that made the night simply unforgettable.

Ruth and Ebenezer nurtured their friendship over the next three months. Ebenezer's work trips to the DC area became more frequent allowing them to see each other more often. In January of 2017, Ebenezer moved back to Maryland. In November of 2018, he asked Ruth to be his wife and the rest will be the best!

The Rmred Story of Nikki & Bryce...

We are so excited to get these two married at the Market at Grelen this weekend!
Here is their Rmred Love Story!
The story of how two people went from “just” prom dates to future husband and wife.

It all began in 2010 during their senior year of high school, when Bryce made the decision to ask Nikki to prom. He orchestrated an intricate promposal that included a scavenger hunt with balloons at each spot that Nikki popped to reveal hidden clues inside. The hunt led Nikki around their hometown, ending at her house where Bryce was waiting with flowers and the final clue that read “Will you go to prom with me?” And, of course, she said yes!
But, at this point, they were still only friends. They went their separate ways for college, and neither of them necessarily expected anything more to happen. But as they continued to talk constantly and visit each other, it was not until they were apart from each other that they realized how much they meant to each other. By October of their first year, they had made it official.
For the next seven years, Nikki and Bryce conquered college and the real world together. After graduating from the two greatest schools in the state of Virginia, they moved to Michigan to start their careers and their life (finally!) living together. Since then, they've been working together to make Plymouth, Michigan feel a little more like home!
In the fall of 2017, Bryce again had to orchestrate another elaborate plan to ask Nikki an even more important question. He planned to propose while they were home in New Jersey on Christmas break. On the absurdly cold night of December 30th, Bryce convinced Nikki to go into Palmer Square in Princeton with him for a "suit fitting" at J.Crew. As they walked towards J.Crew past the Palmer Square Christmas tree, Nikki noticed a man standing on the corner holding three balloons. As they approached, the man told Nikki that there was a promotion going on for J.Crew and if she popped one of the balloons she would get a coupon. Truth be told, at this point, Nikki knew that something was up and they were not just there for a suit...she popped one of the balloons and inside was a note that read “Will you marry me?” Nikki looked up to see Bryce down on one knee. She said “OF COURSE!” and the rest is history.

The Rmred Story of Lea & Zac...

On an unseasonably warm November day in 2014, Lea Lawson and Zac Vander Goot had no idea their lives were about to change forever. They were both about to begin new jobs at GEICO, and it seemed that fate brought them together to start around the same time. Lea remembers the first time she ever saw Zac because he showed up fashionably late two days after training had already started. After a few months, fate finally stepped in again and they both ended up out for drinks together amongst coworkers where they exchanged numbers and began talking every day. Lea soon found out Zac’s birthday was approaching and he had neglected to make any fun plans for the milestone, which Lea deemed unacceptable. Being from Michigan, Zac did not know many people in the area yet, so Lea took it upon herself to ensure that his birthday was celebrated appropriately. She then learned his hobbies were a mirror of her own, including hiking, camping, and kayaking, so she booked their first date at a Mongolian style yurt nestled in the mountains, where they talked at length about anything and everything, watched four movies in a row, and went hiking for his birthday. The rest, as they say… is history, and the two have been inseparable ever since.
As time passed, they quickly realized that their relationship was unlike anything else either of them had experienced in life before. They could be completely and unapologetically themselves around each other while having the comfort of knowing that the other was completely accepting of them. Honesty came so easily between the two, which allowed trust to blossom and flourish and soon they found themselves exchanging “I love yous,” atop one of their favorite mountains, Old Rag. Fast forward two years and nine months through numerous kayaking and camping trips, hiking trails, weekend trips to exciting cities, and a few family vacations they ended up booking a trip to one of Lea’s “Bucket List” cities, New Orleans. Unbeknownst to her, Zac had a very special surprise for this trip and planned everything perfectly! It was colder than usual in NOLA throughout their trip, but that did not keep them from making the most of it. They made sure to get oysters from Acme Oyster House (and Zac actually ate four whole oysters!), bought hats from a vintage haberdashery, ate alligator, duck gumbo, and braised sheep cheeks at Cochon, went to fancy restaurants as well as hole-in-the-wall bars, went to a Burlesque show, experienced Bourbon Street nightlife, saw the Mississippi River, and went to the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas. After they visited the aquarium they walked to Jackson Square and explored the beautiful park, walking amongst the beautiful, giant trees with jazz music floating through the air from the street surrounding the square. Zac said it would be a good idea to get a picture in front of the St. Louis Cathedral that lies at the head of the park. And that’s when it happened. As Lea was trying to get a good picture, she turned around and saw Zac down on one knee, where he then asked for her hand in marriage. After screaming a little and jumping up and down a whole bunch, Lea enthusiastically accepted his proposal, and off they went to Café du Monde to celebrate over coffee and beignets.
On May 11, 2019 at the Market at Grelen, they will make it official. We are so excited to be apart of their amazing love story.
