Wishing Laura & Daryn a very HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! This intimate and personal wedding was in September 2017! Cannot believe a year has past already. When I met Laura & Daryn we immediately clicked with our love for hound dogs. They have the sweetest fur baby, who joined us at their Rehearsal to ensure everything would run smoothly. The special touches by the Officiant were truly Magical - Harry Potter wand :) The weather was perfect for this day. The excitement of doing your ceremony at the monuments is you never know who will swing by to see you exchange your vows. We had a huge group of cyclists ride by and offering their thumbs up of excitement for the happy couple. The reception was at Rhodeside Grill in Arlington, VA where the ambiance of this restaurant was the perfect fit to celebrate this happy couple. With a polaroid camera guest book, candy favors, and all the pie you could ask for, this wedding was just wonderful! Contributors to this Event:Wedding Planner & Event Rentals: Remembered Events

She has been an awesome addition to the team since summer began! Here is a little bit about her:
I have lived in the DC/VA area my entire life and am extremely thankful to live in such a busy and beautiful location with so many things to do around it. You honestly can never be bored! I graduated from Radford University with a Political Science degree that I never use and am currently working on my Masters in Management. Let’s hope I get to use that degree! J I currently reside in Alexandria near Old Town with my two dogs Ryleigh and Buddy who have a love/hate relationship. With the countless hours of planning and prepping for each event, I thrive on those long hours of hard work that later brings a client’s vision to life. I have an eye for perfection, passion for style, creativity and attention to detail. I am committed to making the planning process as fun, memorable and stress-free as possible for both the bride and groom. I want you to be able to enjoy your friends and family with full of laughter, smiles and a cocktail. Outside of work, I LOVE traveling, trying new restaurants (especially places that have a great brunch), attending sporting events and hanging with my friends and family. When it’s been a long week, you’ll find me sipping on a glass of red wine at the spa. Until next time, Remembered Events Brittany & Scott are truly such a positive and exciting couple. We had the honor of meeting through their photographer, Samantha Martin. Brittany truly had an exceptional vision, greens with a splash of coral but more on the peach side. She was looking for a classy rustic and boy did she bring this out in all of her ideas! Predicting and planning around the weather is truly an art form. We had to navigate through hot weather and storms throughout the whole day. Brittany and Scott were so positive and willing to make changes to the day so everything could be perfect for them. You could feel the love despite the ran and the smiles on their faces said it all. Friends and Family danced the night away while taking photos in the photo booth. Until next time... Remembered Events Vendor List:
The theme for this gender reveal was "Sweet Cupcake or Handsome Stud Muffin". We couldn't be more excited, first child for us, first grandchild for my parents, and 6th grandchild for my husband's side. We had to get the whole family together for a party. I am an Event Planner and love an excuse for a party! We couldn't wait for this announcement, shortly after guests arrived, we were ready to reveal. With Pink Sangria and Blue Margaritas in hand our guests cheered for our sweet cupcake. My sweet mother in law had T-shirts' made for guests in the gender colors of pink and blue. They were a really personal touch that was such a sweet surprise. Vendor Credit: Photographer: Samantha Martin Cupackes & Muffins: Sweet Ladies Bakery Flowers: All in the Details Floral Smoke Bomb & Confetti: Poof There it is Samantha Martin is simply amazing and has become like family. She has gone through all of our monumental moments with us - engagement, wedding, anniversaries, and now BABY! We are a photo family, we love capturing our moments and she has a way of doing it that is just magical. Each photo truly captures our memories and we get to enjoy it for years to come.
Sweet Ladies Bakery brought the theme to the party. With a hint of lemon with light creamy frosting in pink and blue, the cupcakes were moist and refreshing. The blueberry streusel muffins had crumbs on them to give them some sweetness to hit the spot. All in the Details Floral Design always takes the thoughts in my head and bring them to life. She took my pink, blue, and white ideas and brought a tasteful blend of the colors for a perfect centerpiece. Smoke Bomb & Confetti from Poof There it is was an awesome addition to the day. We luckily got two, so we did the first reveal in front of the family so Samantha could capture the reactions of our guests. The "second" reveal was for photos. I am so glad that we did. The smoke bombs state that they last 90 or more seconds, with the wind and humidity on that day, we didn't quite make 90 seconds. Thank goodness Samantha is quick on her feet. A huge thank you to everyone who help us make this day so memorable and filled with love. Our family and friends were so sweet to share all of the love they have for this little cupcake. Until next time... Amanda Colors - they always make or break an event. Whether you go on your favorite colors or the season, colors will make your event simply stunning. As I was perusing the Pinterest, my favorite thing to do. I came across the Patone color palette for Fall 2017. You can do so many fun color combinations with this. The possibilities are truly endless and look spectacular. The butterum is looking wonderful with Gold/Glitter. You can put grey with pretty much any of these combinations and it looks so crisp and classy.
Navy is not going out of style anytime soon! This has been a hot color for a while now. The navy peony is a hair lighter than your typical Navy and really makes the grey or ballet slipper pop! Simply Gorgeous. What are your favorite Fall Colors? Until next time, Remembered Events Well, it is official, we decided to blog ;)
Writing is not our speciality, however, we do feel we have some awesome insight into the wedding industry and hope we can offer you some tips and options as you move through the planning process. Tip #1: Don't just get a planner, Get a Planner you connect with: I cannot stress how important the connection between couple & planner is. Not everyone has this and that is okay. Find the planner that works with you, gets you, and works with you. Tip #2: You get what you pay for: I know, I know, you hear this all of the time, but it is true. I am not saying spend a crazy amount on your wedding planner, I am saying, weigh how important having a stress-free, fabulous wedding weekend means to you. Not having a background in the wedding industry, you can spend countless hours on research, let someone help you! It should mean a lot. You can focus on your soon to be spouse, family who has traveled to celebrate you, and not to mention, enjoy the party you have planned. Whether you have done it all or asked your planner to do it all, you should enjoy every single moment of your wedding and marriage. Why? Because how often do we get to celebrate LOVE! Tip #3: What is included? I personally HATE when I see 20 line items before I see the bottom line. We start all of our packages with pretty hefty inclusions, we want you to pick and choose what works best for you, keeping your budget in mind. On our end we have line items for each service we offer, but at the end of the day, we want you to see the bottom line. All that is included and what it costs. After we chat with you, you will get a quote to review. Tip #4: Planning takes time Are you looking for day of? We feel 60 days gives us an opportunity to ensure we know everything to make the event a success, if you get someone who says day of packages does not need lead time, PLEASE reconsider. We are not saying this to have you go with us. We stand by finding the best fit for you! That is essential. We want you to have lead time and the attention paid to you, this is your wedding day after all. Do we want you for as long as we can, of course, the more time, the better we know you, and the better your vision will be created. Tip #5: OVER SHARE Do you think you are being annoying? Don't want to hurt someone feelings? Does your family drive you crazy? We want to know your vision, stressors, how to help you, and be able to think as you do, even though we are not you. Make sure you know when you overshare, you should have made a decision on what you are wanting. We are not making the decisions for you, we are bringing your vision to life. We want to make the first day of your marriage life the best possible. Let us bring you the best day possible! Even more important, we want you to have the happiest marriage possible. Until next time, Remembered Events |
