Accompanying the second-floor exhibition will be a display on the first floor featuring more than two dozen snow globes from local designers and architecture firms. Each participant was asked to design around the theme of embracing Chicago winters. The results are fantastical and imaginative interpretations of what it means to be in the city during the coldest months.

After visiting the exhibition, get started on your holiday shopping at the CAC Design Store! It features thoughtful and unique gifts for everyone on your list, from the architecture buff to the design lover, the diehard Chicagoan to the inquisitive child, and everyone in between. In conjunction with City in a Snow Globe, a commemorative snow globe ornament featuring the Chicago River and world-famous Chicago skyline will be on sale exclusively in the Design Store, and included with your purchase of a Chicago Architecture Center gift membership bundle.

COS x nendo, a collaboration between this Japanese design studio and COS. For the 3rd year COS took part in the Salone del Mobile with a special commissioned installation and tempory concept store featuring a selection of these COS pieces and items by nendo.Founded in Tokyo by architect and designer Oki Sato, nendo has been synonymous with modern, functional design. The name 'nendo' is Japanese for modelling clay, indicative of the studio's playful, yet rational approach. The pieces are available in the COS webshop...great minimalism and timeless pieces. A collaboration that truly works."I don't have any borders between design and architecture. They both exist to make our lives comfortable and beautiful." -Oki Sato-

Our People-initiatives focus on the well-being of our employees and their families. One such result is the Employee Assistance Program, rolled out in Australia due to the dispersed reality of working during COVID-19 in 2020. The program prioritizes the mental health of our employees and works as a confidential telephone counselling support service, provided by a specialist company, to assist in work-related issues and personal challenges as well as general wellbeing and mindfulness tools. In Thailand, the Georg Jensen Scholarship program was created in 2015 to support the children and families of our local employees. Since 2015, 280 families have been supported and we are dedicated to continuously announce and implement many more initiatives to support, engage and aid our many employees across the globe. 041b061a72
